His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Thursday visited the Citizen Services Department at the Royal Hashemite Court, which provides medical exemptions for uninsured Jordanians, and financial support for underprivileged citizens, as well as a number of other services.

Crown Prince Al Hussein checked on the services offered by the department, which receives nearly 1,000 visitors on a daily basis, issuing around 750 medical exemptions for citizens every day.

His Royal Highness was briefed by Citizen Services Manager Khalil Abdullat and other staff members on the procedures followed at the department, which is electronically connected to the relevant national institutions to streamline service provision.

The Crown Prince called for maintaining quality services at the department, praising the efforts of its staff in processing citizens’ applications fairly and transparently.

His Royal Highness toured the financial assistance, social studies, and medical exemptions divisions, and checked on the procedures of receiving and processing applications.

The Crown Prince also spoke to a number of visitors at the department about the level of services, and they expressed appreciation for its role in addressing social and healthcare issues.

Established upon directives by His Majesty King Abdullah, the department is operated by Royal Hashemite Court employees and doctors on secondment from the Royal Medical Services and the Ministry of Health.

Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, and Royal Hashemite Court Secretary General Yousef Issawi accompanied His Royal Highness on the visit.
