King, Crown Prince receive top Tawjihi achievers at Al Husseiniya Palace
His Majesty King Abdullah and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Monday received top General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) achievers at Al Husseiniya Palace, in appreciation of their academic excellence.
King Abdullah and Crown Prince Al Hussein congratulated the students on their success, and spoke with them about their academic experience and the efforts they exerted to achieve distinguished results.
His Majesty lauded the students’ diligence, urging them to pursue degrees that meet labour market needs and qualify them to the careers of the future.
The King said the future is promising for technical and vocational specialisations, noting that current labour market needs differ from what they were years ago.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Wajih Owais said the academic excellence achieved this year by Tawjihi students reflects the perseverance of Jordanians, expressing appreciation of His Majesty’s support for the education sector.
The minister said 37 students from public and private schools across the Kingdom’s governorates were among the top achievers this year.
Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.
