King departs on state visit to India

His Majesty King Abdullah departed on Tuesday to New Delhi on a state visit during which he is scheduled to hold talks with President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as a number of senior officials.
During the visit, King Abdullah is due to participate in a conference on “Islamic Heritage: Promoting Harmony and Coexistence” and deliver remarks there.
The King is also scheduled to attend the Jordanian-Indian Business Forum, with participants including businesspeople, investors, and company representatives from the two countries.
His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
