His Majesty King Abdullah and European Council President Charles Michel on Friday discussed cooperation and coordination to counter coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
 
In a phone call with President Michel, King Abdullah stressed the importance of safeguarding the health and wellbeing of peoples worldwide, and countering the humanitarian and economic repercussions of COVID-19.
 
His Majesty underscored the need to step up and unify international efforts in this regard, reaffirming Jordan's solidarity with European Union members and the rest of the world in countering this pandemic.
 
The King commended cooperation and partnership between Jordan and the EU, expressing Jordan’s appreciation for the EU’s ongoing support for the Kingdom across many sectors.
