King receives White House Coordinator for MENA
His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday received Deputy Assistant to the US President and White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk at Bayt Al Urdun.
The meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, covered the strong ties between Jordan and the United States and means to bolster their strategic partnership.
Discussions also addressed the latest regional and international developments, especially the Palestinian cause.
King Abdullah stressed the need to step up efforts in pursuit of just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution, which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.
