A Royal Decree was issued on Wednesday, appointing the chairperson and board members of the public broadcasting service channel Al Mamlaka TV, in accordance with the by-law regulating its work and based on a recommendation by the prime minister.

Under the Royal Decree, Fahed Khitan was appointed as part-time chairperson of the channel as of 11 October 2018.

Marwan Juma, Samih Maaytah, Basim Tweissi, and Valentina Qussisiya were appointed as part-time board members as of 11 October 2018.

Under the by-law regulating the TV channel’s operations, the outlet is run by a board of four members and a chairperson appointed for a renewable term of three years by a Royal Decree, based on the prime minister’s recommendation, on a part-time basis.

The Royal Decree for appointing the previous board was issued in October 2015.
