His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Thursday ambassadors of the European Union accredited to the Hashemite Royal Court.

The King reviewed with the ambassadors, Jordanian-European relations, the peace process, developments in Iraq and Palestine and the issue of reform in the Middle East.

His Majesty affirmed, during the meeting which was attended by Royal Court Minister and the ministers of foreign affairs and planning and international cooperation, the importance of the European role in supporting efforts designed to achieve peace in the Middle East. "The central role played by the EU in supporting developmental projects particularly in the economic field in Jordan and the Arab world, forms an important element in achieving the aspired for political and economic reforms in the region," the King said.
