His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces on Wednesday inaugurated the new Public Security Department (PSD) complex in the southern Amman suburb of Muqableen.

King Abdullah toured the facilities of the new complex, which houses most of the PSD's management and services departments previously located in various neighborhoods across the capital.

His Majesty also inspected the PSD's main operations room, which is equipped with the latest technology to assist operation rooms at police departments directly connected to the Command and Control Center.

In remarks during the ceremony, PSD Director General Hussein Majali said the department will continue the process of development and modernisation to be able to efficiently shoulder its security and humanitarian responsibilities.
