King receives US congressional delegation
His Majesty King Abdullah, at Al Husseiniya Palace on Sunday, received a US congressional delegation headed by US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations member Senator Mike Rounds.
The meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, covered bilateral ties and the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, as well as means of expanding cooperation across all fields.
Discussions at the meeting also covered cooperation on cybersecurity.
King Abdullah expressed Jordan's appreciation of the support provided by the United States in a number of sectors.
The meeting touched on means of finding political solutions to crises in the Middle East.
For their part, the US lawmakers lauded Jordan’s pivotal regional role, under His Majesty’s leadership, stressing the United States’ keenness to bolster cooperation with the Kingdom and to continue supporting it
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and US Ambassador to Jordan Henry Wooster attended the meeting.
